Dr. Bernstein specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult and child strabismus. |

He maintains active affiliation with the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section of Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a past member of the executive board of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section of Ophthalmology. He volunteered as a pediatric ophthalmology consultant at both St Joseph’s School for the Blind and Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Jersey. |

He earned a medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. A residency in ophthalmology was completed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology/strabismus was completed at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London England. |

He is board certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology and fellowship trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult and Child Strabismus by The American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. |

Dr. Bernstein’s clinical interests include botulinum toxin as an substitute to surgery and the use of local sedation for adult strabismus surgery. He offers pediatric ophthalmologic care for infants through teenage years. He also treats adults with eye muscle disorders. |
