She is a Fellow of the American Academy of pediatricians, a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, and maintains active affiliation with the Ohio Academy of Pediatricians, the American Osteopathis Association, the Ohio Osteopathic Association, and the Regional Osteopathic Association. She is also an active member of the Richland United Methodist Church where she works with Habitat for Humanity, Summer bible school, and gives seminars on health issues. |

She earned a BS in medical technology from West Virginia University and a DO from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine June 1985. An internship and pediatric residency were completed at Grandview Medical Hospital May 1988 in Dayton, Ohio. |
