He earned a medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in Damascus Syria. He relocated to the United States and completed a fellowship focused on Carotid Doppler Ultrasound and Carotid Angiogram at the Jefferson University Affiliated Hospitals. A residency in neurology was completed at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis Missouri as well as Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem North Carolina. |

He is a board-certified Forensic Examiner through the American Academy of Forensic Examiners. certified in Forensic Medicine with the American Board of Forensic Medicine, certified Medical Director with the American Medical Directors Association, a certified Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis Certified Doppler Ultrasound / Neurosonology, an expert through the American Society of Neuroimaging, a certified Neurorehabilitation Expert, and Founding Member of the American Society of Neurorehabilitation. |

He has worked on numerous research papers and projects, such as "Biogen Idec Protocol 101JC402: JC Antibody Program in Patients with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis - Stratify 2," and "Biogen - TYSABRI Global Observational Program in Safety (TYGRIS)." In 1996, he published "Neurohypnosis," an article in Neuro-Practice, followed by the Chapter Book title "Alternative and Complimentary Medicine in Neurologic Illness" in 1999. Dr. Al-Kabbani is the author of the Spinal Cord Injury Exam for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. |

Dr. Al-Kabbani is a neurologist and the owner at East Tennessee Neurology Clinic where he specializes in stroke and neurovascular disease.
