He earned a BS in Chemistry from Arkansas Tech University in Russelville. His MD was earned from the University of Arkansas School of Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed a general surgical Internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and a Residency in Radiology was completed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. A Fellowship in Neuroradiology was completed at Stanford University. He also served 14 years and 7 months in the US Army, serving one year in Korea as a general medical officer, leaving the service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. |

Dr. Mitchell is a specialist in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. In this capacity he consults with clinicians on brain and spine imaging, as well as, assists the section chief regarding MRI. He also serves as an adjunct professor of Radiology for Stanford University. |
