Dr. Paraschiv’s areas of interest include: hypoglycemia angina, chronic pain management, emphysema, asthma, dementia, thyroid disease, sinusitis, wellness, high blood cholesterol, heart disease, obesity, alcoholism, metabolic disorders, hypothyroidism, anemia, and high blood pressure. |

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine, a member of the American Board of Quality Assurance and maintains active affiliation with the AMA. He also volunteers and does charitable work. |

He has been in his current position for 19 years and has 24 years experience in medicine. |

He dedicates this recognition to his wife of 27 years, Mrs. Diana Paraschiv, MD and their 2 children. |

He earned a BS in Mathematics and Physics and a MD both from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. |

He enjoys informatics, soccer, and skiing. |

Dr. Paraschiv works with in-patients for various medical issues. He also works in an administrative capacity as the Associate Program Director for the Garnet Health Doctors Division, and as the Director of Clinical Informatics. He is current an Adjunct Professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York. |
