She authored a book of poems, The Beginning of Difficulty, which was published by Five Fingers Press in 1989. The book was nominated for a literary prize by the Los Angeles Times and was praised by poet Robert Creeley as a primary book of passage by a very gifted poet. In 1990, in addition to having her book named Small Press Review's Pick of the Month, she participated in a contemporary arts festival in Moscow, where her poetry was very well received. |
